Four militants have been killed by security forces in South Kashmir's Shopian district today i.e. on Monday. Earlier on Sunday, security forces killed five terrorists,
including the Hizbul commander. So far, nine terrorists have been wiped out in about 26 hours. On Sunday, this year's biggest operation against terrorists was carried out, in which five terrorists were killed simultaneously.

The Army's first National Rifles, 178 battalions of CRPF and the Janapora SOG began a search operation on Sunday morning in the presence of 5-6 militants in Reban village of Jainapora area of ​​Shopian district. Meanwhile, terrorists hiding in a house opened fire on the security forces. The encounter began with retaliation. By 5 pm, five militants were killed in an encounter that lasted for more than nine hours.

The entire area was tightly guarded to avoid the escape of terrorists. All routes leading to the encounter site were sealed. The crowd, using light force, drove to the spot.

According to sources, among the slain terrorists were Hizbul commander Farooq Ahmed Nalli and a Pakistani. The house where all the terrorists were hiding was detonated. Police said three AK 47 rifles, two pistols and ammunition were
recovered from the slain militants. A police spokesperson has said that if the slain militants are members of someone's family, they can make this claim.
